A Greeting Card with Deco Foil using a hand-drawn Design

1   Print the template which is available as a separate PDF file on this page. Apply shading onto the back of the paper using a good quality pencil. Place the paper onto the front of the greeting card with the shaded side facing down (onto the front of the greeting card). Copy the design with a pencil transferring it onto the front of the greeting card.

2   Go over the lines of the flower design on the greeting card with a glue pen, but only one colour at a time. Let the glue dry untill it is dry to the touch – i.e. the glue is tacky, but doesn't stick to the fingers when you touch it.

3   Place the deco foil - with the coloured side facing up – on top of the glue and smooth firmly.

4   Carefully remove the deco foil. Outline with the glue pen in preparation for using another colour deco foil. Repeat the process. You may write text with the glue pen, make dots along the edge as well as adding other decorative details.
