1   Using cotton twine cast on 50 stitches and knit moss stitches until the piece measures approx. 35-40cm. Then decrease to make a pointed tip; two stitches on each side, nine times – i.e. 14 stitches left. Cast off. Cut a piece of canvas in the same size as the bag + seam and sew this onto one side of the bag.

2   Sew the crochet lace borders onto the front of the bag.

Shoulder strap   Cast on 8 stitches and knit moss stitches to your desired length. Cut a piece of canvas double the size of the strap’s width, fold over and sew this piece onto one side of the strap.

Assembling   Fold over the bag and sew the shoulder strap onto the sides from the base of the bag.

5   Crochet a small loop for the button on the front of the bag. Use doubled over cotton twine.
