A recycled fabric bag with designs

This fabric bag can be used for recyclable gift wrapping, an Advent calendar as well as a replacement for a small plastic bag. Make the bag from two square pieces of fabric, fold them into two triangles and sew them together on a sewing machine – also the edges. Choose your own designs.

Cut two 45 x 45 cm fabric squares.

Fold the square into triangles, wrong side out. Sew each triangle together, but leave a 6 cm opening.

Cut away the corner of the triangle as shown in the photo. Turn the triangles right side out, iron the edges, fold the seam inside the opening and iron.

Fold the fabric diagonally across the square and mark the corners 5 cm from the corner on both sides with pins. Sew along the edges from the tip towards the corner as shown in the photo. Close the corner by sewing it as shown in the photo. Cut away the corner.

Turn the bag the right side out, iron the edges and cut out designs from iron-on foil. The template for Christmas baubles is attached. Cut out the middle of the bauble if you want to attach a rub-on number.
