Het is snel en gemakkelijk om deze onderzetter te breien van katoengaren met nr. 8 breinaalden. Het katoengaren is hittebestendig. Een decoratief riempje is gemaakt van faux leather papier. Garenverbruik 25 - 50 gr katoengaren.

It's important to knit a test square to test your tension. If there are too many stitches on a 10 cm test square, change to thinner needles and if there are too few stitches, change to thicker ones. Gauge: 10 x 10 cm = 12 stitches and 24 rows (garter stitches on all stitches and rows).

Small coaster (10x10 cm):
Cast on 12 stitches and knit plain stitches on all rows (garter stitches) until the knitted piece measures 10 cm. Cast off.
Trivet (15x15 cm):
Cast on 18 stitches and knit plain stitches on all rows (garter stitches) until the knitted piece measures 15 cm. Cast off. Secure the ends on the back.
Small coaster (10x10 cm):
Cast on 12 stitches and knit plain stitches on all rows (garter stitches) until the knitted piece measures 10 cm. Cast off.
Trivet (15x15 cm):

A decorative strap: Cut a 1.5x5 cm strap from faux leather paper. Double over and make four holes with hole punch pliers. Sew the strap onto the coaster/trivet with mercerised cotton yarn. Secure the end by tying a knot underneath the strap.
